Join intellectual property lawyer Cynthia Sanders (Ober | Kaler) and lawyer/agent Laura Strachan (Strachan Literary) for one of the most important opportunities in a writer's career.  Don't sign the dotted line before attending this seminar!  (Not to mention the chance to spend two hours with two lawyers for just $20...incredible!).

Cynthia Sanders is an experienced intellectual property and entertainment attorney at Ober|Kaler. Cynthia focuses her practice on copyright, trademark, advertising, arts, and media law matters.  She counsels a broad range of clients involved in creative endeavors.  Projects include identification and development of new works based on public domain materials, creation and interpretation of intellectual property policies, preparation of content license agreements, protection and licensing of characters, clearance, financing and distribution of motion pictures, and compliance review of advertising materials and social media marketing practices.

Strachan Literary was established in 1998 by literary agent and principal Laura Strachan who was looking for a way to combine her lifetime love of books and good writing with her background as a licensed attorney.  She is a current member of both the Maryland and District of Columbia Bars, as well as the Author's Guild, and was cited in the Jan/Feb 2008 issue of Poets & Writer's Magazine as one of "21 Agents You Should Know." Strachan Literary Agency is located in historic Annapolis, Maryland, an easy train ride to mid-town Manhattan.

This seminar takes place in the lower-level classroom of the Union Mill complex next to the Pepsi Plant near the Jones Falls in Hampden.  Park in the rear of the building and, if necessary, call 410-274-5691 to enter the building.
