More than 2200 literature lovers shunned the first beautiful Saturday of spring to spend time inside Pratt Library at the eleventh annual CityLit Festival. The Literary Marketplace was as bustling as ever, the vibe was jazzed and the crowd was electric as the free day-long celebration of literature -- those who write and those who read it -- marked appearances by National Book Award winner James McBride, singer-songwriter / novelist Wesley Stace (aka John Wesley Harding) who read and sang, and authors from virtually for corners of the country (New England, southern California, Tampa, South Carolina, and Salt Lake City).
Thanks Baltimore! You put both the "city" and the "lit" in CityLit.
