Nonprofit Formed to Create Community Among Readers and Writers

CityLit Project was incorporated in Maryland on January 21, 2004. Articles of incorporation, bylaws, and first budget were all approved. The founder was Gregg Wilhelm and the founding chair was Charles F. "Chic" Dambach.  It gained its 501(c)(3) status from the IRS in February 2006.  The original logo (at right) was Rage Italic and Tahoma.  The organization recognizes January 21 as its anniversary date.
