For those serious writers looking to grow in their craft, seeking a second take on their work,revising a draft that’s been sitting in your drawer, or starting a new piece that has gotten your attention – this is for you. One-on-One. Thirty minutes of me time. Why not have an editor take a look at it? Why not get a seasoned, accomplished writer to dive into the wreck with you and talk about all of the things you can do to make your piece breathe. Guidelines are below. Don’t be overzealous. Rules matter. Think as if you’re submitting to a journal, you’d properly prepare for the outcome, wouldn’t you? Chelsea Lemon Fetzer earned her MFA in Fiction at Syracuse University. She is a 2019 Rubys recipient for the Literary Arts and a recipient of the Maryland State Arts Council’s 2022 Independent Artist Award. Her fiction and poetry have appeared in journals such as Callaloo, Tin House, Mississippi Review, and Minnesota Review. DUEWA FRAZIER
Genre: Experimental, Afro-Futurism

DUEwa Frazier is a poet, essayist, scholar, digital creator, TEDx and keynote speaker, and Assistant Professor of English. Frazier’s research, creative nonfiction, and digital writings focus on hip-hop and popular culture, culturally responsive pedagogy, education, Black women and Black literature. She is the editor of, Teaching Humanities with Cultural Responsiveness at HBCUs and HSIs (2024) and the forthcoming volume Introduction to Afrofuturism: A Mixtape in Black Literature & Arts (2024). Her poetry has featured in Arlington Literary Journal, Split this Rock, Black Renaissance Noire, Tidal Basin Review, Poetry in Performance, and others. She is the author of several published volumes of poetry and children’s stories. She has been a writing fellow at the Hurston/Wright Foundation and Martha’s Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing. She holds advanced degrees in Creative Writing, Curriculum and Teaching, and Higher Education Leadership. Frazier earned an MFA in Creative Writing at The New School.
